“Ships at a Distance”: Dreams in Their Eyes Were Watching God Essay

Zora Neale Hurston opens Their Eyes Were Watching God with an expressive allegory in regards to dreams: â€Å"Ships a good ways off have each man’s wish ready. For some they come in with the tide. For other people, they sail always not too far off, never far out, never arriving until the watcher dismisses his eyes in renunciation, his fantasies taunted to death by Time (Hurston 1).† Hurston portrays here how a few dreams are accomplished with time while others prowl far off until the visionary surrenders. Janie Crawford, hero of Their Eyes Were Watching God, experiences various aspirations for an incredible duration, essentially concerning a longing to by one way or another accomplish something throughout everyday life, and to not simply make a cursory effort. While Janie’s dreams and my own don't actually compare, we both seek to find a more noteworthy enthusiasm throughout everyday life and discover a voice that will empower us to have any kind of effect. When Janie is growing up, she is anxious to turn into a lady and is prepared to plunge into the strain, development, and elation of adulthood. In the start of Janie’s biography, Hurston presents the analogy of the pear tree, an image of Janie’s blooming, and portrays how â€Å"she had lustrous leaves and blasting buds and she needed to battle with life however it appeared to evade her,† which effectively catches her energy and perplexity of entering the grown-up world (11). Janie’s uneasiness of growing up is additionally explained with the picture of her â€Å"looking, pausing, breathing short with anxiety. Trusting that the world will be made† (Hurston 11). In her high school years, it appears as though her life rotates around the expectation of womanhood. Indeed, even as Janie develops more established, she keeps on clutching her goal of living a daring, animating, and enthusiastic life. In criti... ...le. Their Eyes Were Watching God. The Birthplace Of The Industrial Revolution History Essay

The Birthplace Of The Industrial Revolution History Essay The Industrial Revolution began during the late eighteenth and mid nineteenth hundreds of years in Great Britain. It at that point spread to the remainder of Europe, North America lastly to the entire of the world. As it would turn out, of the western Civilized countries, Great Britain was at that point a force to be reckoned with (gratitude to the English Navy) however the explanation is that its an island country. As an island country, and no ongoing attacks upon their dirt, there was nothing to upset advancement. The U.S. was all the while learning and developing, having not yet found completely its own fringes and inside, was behind (yet intently so) Great Britain. There were such huge numbers of speculations on how the Industrial Revolution began in Britain. However there were a great deal of fundamental adds to it. Development of populace and innovations was a primary impact since it acquired more individuals and thoughts. Others were acceptable common assets and agribusiness a nd help of the abroad exchange. Populace, obviously, bigly affected the Industrial Revolution in light of the fact that as more individuals come into the Britain region, theyre more than likely going to require an occupation. The rising populace, particularly in the urban communities, completed two things to assist the Industrial Revolution. The first was that it made a superior and developing gathering of work. More individuals were prepared and ready to top off the expanding work showcase. The accompanying most significant thing is that a developing populace caused a more noteworthy demand for items that were being framed. Numerous famers thought that it was difficult to live because of the reality of new machines happening, so they moved to the urban communities to look for some kind of employment. The walled in area development required little ranchers to either take up inhabitant or move to urban areas and become some portion of the urban work power. (Martin, 230) Job openings and more possibilities helped inc rement the economy of the Industrial Revolution. More individuals implied more cash, food, and a more straightforward way of life. More researchers that did well in considers urged more individuals to get into the science business that will later prompt the Industrial Revolution. The developing populace during the Industrial Revolution also helped business to deliver all the more great and items for clients. Populace development would in general lower the overall cost of produced products and genuine wages, consequently not liable to have animated a quest for work sparing advancements. (Mokyr, 24) The British got more captives to take a shot at their territory. The slaves developed items that were thus sold on to Britain. The quick improvement of English industry has been credited to the investigation of pilgrim individuals and the benefit wrung from the slave exchange. (Ashton, 123-126) The catch of abroad markets, in a steady progression, until England turned into the workshop of the world. England had a great deal of provisions of their own. Be that as it may, the ones they didnt have, the acquired from their numerous different states; which were faithful clients as well. Their immense realm permitted them to import crude materials from the settlements to industrial facilities at home, and fare the completed items back to the states. This prodded industrialization in the British Isles. presently a totally new soul, that of the New World, was to clear eastbound abroad and alongside the new powers created from dynamic and ordinary contact with situate, change, and revivify Europe. (Gillespie, 27) The Americas helped big an ideal opportunity to add to the Industrial Revolution in Britain. remote exchange, particularly exchange with the Americas was the focal point of the English improvement process. (Ashton, 13-14) Progress in transportation is an explanation of the Industrial Revolution in light of the fact that without better vehicle relations, Britain would not have had the option to exchange with different provinces. The improvement of oceangoing vehicle was noteworthy in light of the fact that exchange was turning into an extremely business wellspring of benefits for England. Additionally, individuals were getting wealthier; along these lines they could concoct the cash to purchase new developments. Well off individuals put in cash into new thoughts so they would make an advantage on the off chance that it were fruitful. This is a primary explanation of the Industrial insurgency since without it; Britain would not have had as much cash to use on things, for example, transport and creations. The exchange triangle was capable on the grounds that the boats never cruised void and individuals raked in tons of cash. The proprietors of these boats made loads of benefits because of the low work cost. The exchange triangle shaped a business opportu nity for the processing plant proprietors in Britain, selling their items abroad. New all around created innovations can generally make a way for progress. Representatives put resources into the production of new creations. New innovations and hardware likewise made work quicker than previously. These new developments included: banking frameworks, flying transports, turning jenny, water edges, and cotton plants. Their improvement of the financial frameworks additionally added to the Industrial Revolution. Money and opportunity, England was the principal nation to have its own free bank (the bank of England) it likewise was the main country with the way to raise more money and ventures from the nation over and the remainder of Europe (The London stock trade) People would not like to genuinely accomplish their work themselves for the remainder of their lives. During the Industrial Revolution, Europe moved from an economy dependent on horticulture and crafted works to an economy dependent on assembling by machines and computerized manufacturing plants. (Duiker, 405) Britain had heaps of coal to use for their brilliant thoughts since they would utilize wood to warm their homes. The British before long had thoughts regarding change for themselves. Their legislature additionally preferred the change. Streets, ports and extensions assumed a significant job in building up an industrialized country. The items made by these plants were passed to different markets far and wide by streets and waterways. Trenches before long turned into the following most significant thing to the urban areas. At the point when George Stephenson made steam motor that could continue rails which is later called railways. After that they connected urban communities everywhere throughout the world. The continued development farming efficiency during this period prompted the fall in costs of rural items. England was the origination of the Industrial Revolution on account of its capacity and assets. The little island nation had broad normal assets. These normal assets included: water force and coal to fuel the new machines, iron metal to develop machines, devices, and structures, waterways for inland transportation, and harbors from which dealer ships set sail. Farming in Britain at the time was a primary factor of the Industrial Revolution. Among the entirety of the progressions happening at that point, agribusiness and cultivating families changed also. Cotton was a significant thing at that point. John Kays flying transport made garments twice as much than expected. This was known as the material business. Iron products and later of cotton had fundamental impact in the structure of those enterprises to where specialized change their force of development. (Davis, 393) Agricultu re discharged work to industry during this period. The accomplishment of England was on a very basic level dependent on the change of the horticulture and on significant increment in rural exercises. (Smit, 61-63) Monetary development kept on spreading during the nineteenth century, and as yet spreading today. The Industrial Revolution arrived at different pieces of Europe and the United States during the 1800s. During the 1900s, it arrived at Asia. In the end, the reasons for the British Industrial Revolution can be put down to various variables; Extending from new advances, natural, assets and financial reasons.Overall, with such factors it can't be viewed as an unexpected that Britain grasped industry. For area, assets, and transport organizes all preferred Britain and their realm; bringing about a huge portion of assembling yield for Britain by the mid nineteenth century.

Marriage vs. cohabitation

Marriage is the establishment of family arrangement in most contemporary social orders. It is an agreement game plan that is official and lawfully perceived. Living together then again, imitates the structure of a marriage except for lawful obstacles. In certain nations custom-based law connections are perceived, finished with the lawful implications in case of disintegration. In any case, a few social orders are reluctant to accord due acknowledgment for living together game plans for dread that it would sabotage the establishment of marriage. Studies Conducted In numerous social investigates directed on connections, it was discovered that more couples are falling back on dwelling together plans lately. In the United States, an expansion from 10 percent to 56 percent was noted preferring living together over marriage. The insights thought about was somewhere in the range of 1974 and 1994. (The decision on Cohabitation versus marriage, 2001) There are numerous reasons why couples decide on living together plans over marriage. In the first place, it is simpler to go into and disintegrate. Second, it proposes a progressively freed way to deal with the association. It is seen to underwrite a â€Å"freer lifestyle.† (Ambert, 2005, p6) Third, couples living together are not forced to remain together. At last, dwelling together is contracted for financial reasons. Correlation Looking at marriage and living together, the subject of duty is generally flexible in dwelling together. In spite of the fact that the social structure of both seemed, by all accounts, to be the equivalent, it is in the philosophical methodology where they contrast. The â€Å"freer lifestyle† of dwelling together game plans brings up the issues of loyalty on the two accomplices. The couple is less secure contrasted with hitched couples. Selectiveness for this situation is absent in dwelling together game plans. Legitimateness of Marriage Marriage as a legitimately perceived organization is a coupling contract. Once went into, the couple is required to satisfy commitments, for example, budgetary, kid raising obligations, pledge to think about one another â€Å"in ailment or in wellbeing, till death do us part†. Marriage has a feeling of permanency contrasted with the transient idea of living together. In the event that a marriage is broken up, suitable legitimate measures are applied. The spouse can request from the husband legitimately for youngster backing and reimbursement when the law thinks that its suitable. While marriage and living together are commonly acknowledged in the public arena, many would even now support that the relationship be lawfully perceived. In increasingly preservationist social orders, living together is an abnormality and couples are compelled into authorizing the association. Marriage includes formal functions and social acknowledgment while dwelling together doesn't. Results of Cohabitation In the part of disintegration of associations, living together couples are bound to isolate than wedded couples. In the occasion dwelling together advances into a marriage, the disintegration of the association is credited to the lenient idea of living together. A similar mentality is conveyed into the legitimized relationship in this way frailty, duty and devotion influences the relationship. Living together couples favor separate from an answer for conjugal clashes when contrasted with wedded couples. Monetary Issues Monetarily, wedded couples are in an ideal situation contrasted with non-wedded ones. The idea of marriage binds together the budgetary assets of the couple while for living together couple self-sufficiency is as yet anticipated. Monetary spending and arranging choices in wedded couples are joined endeavors while that arrangement is absent in living together couples. End Basically, both wedded and living together couples follow a similar social structure aside from dwelling together doesn't convey the lawful obstacles of a marriage. Social worthiness of living together stays blended as moderate social orders despite everything disapprove of the course of action for good and legitimate grounds. Most would even now urge living together couples to authorize their relationship. While self-governing and liberal ways of thinking complement living together courses of action, they are insufficient to forestall disintegration and take care of issues that are results of the plan. The lawfully restricting nature of marriage stops couples from terminating the association due to narrow minded and eccentric intentions. The legitimate acknowledgment guarantees that the social establishment of family stays unblemished. References Ambert, A. (2005). Dwelling together and marriage: How are they related? Graphene

Graphene There have been many exciting advancements in the field of materials science in the past quarter century. Perhaps none has generated the enthusiasm and excitement as the substance known as Graphene. This substance is pure carbon in the form of sheets one atom thick. Graphene is estimated to be 200 times stronger than steel, is as flexible as rubber, and conducts heat and electricity extremely efficiently. Further, because it is only an atom thick, it is nearly two-dimensional, imbuing it with many interesting light-related, and water-related properties.Graphene is not a naturally occurring substance. Even though it had been theorized by physicists since the 1960s, it was only produced for the first time in 2004. Back then, production methods made Graphene usage prohibitively expensive; however, over the past decade, academics and corporate researchers have made great strides in reducing production costs. And as those costs drop further with each passing year, Graphene is poised to re volutionize the fields of medicine, electronics, computing, and more. © Shutterstock.com | Anna KireievaIn this article we will look at 1) overview of materials and RD, 2) discovery of Graphene, 3) properties of Graphene, 4) benefits of Graphene, 5) Graphene production, 6) commercial usage of Graphene, and 7) current potential applications of Graphene.OVERVIEW OF MATERIALS AND RDWhile Graphene may have garnered considerable public interest, it remains to be seen exactly how much impact it will have. And each day, physicists and chemists are delving deeper into the physical world, learning more and more about the building blocks of our world and how they may be harnessed to build new things.Notable developments and trendsShortly after Graphene’s discovery in 2004, the editorial team at Materials Today compiled a list of the top 10 breakthroughs in materials science in the past 50 years. Graphene was notably absent from the list, but present were some of the biggest areas of discovery and commercial interest, including:Carbon fiber reinforced plastic s â€" used in racecars, and bikes, among other applications;Materials for Li ion batteries â€" used in laptops and cellphones;Carbon nanotubes â€" few commercial applications currently, but these will likely play a central role in emerging nanotechnologies;Metamaterials â€" recent experiments involving these resulted in a prototype invisibility cloak.By 2013, however, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers noted Graphene production as number one of their top five trends in mechanical engineering, along with:Electric ink, which would allow people to “write” their own circuit boards;Multi-ferroics, which could significantly enhance data storage;Nano anodes, which could create rapidly rechargeable batteries; andNanotube threads, which could be used to eventually build a space elevator.Key players in materials RDBecause of their various applications, research in materials science is performed and funded by a diverse group of players. Many governments allocate research funding for innovations that have the potential to have tangible economic impact. Militaries have interests in many of these discoveries; for example, the U.S. Army has provided funding for the metamaterials experiments surrounding the invisibility cloak. Academics often lead the way in research, with breakthroughs often resulting from teams for researchers from disparate universities. Outside of governments, militaries, and institutions of higher education, much direct investment in materials science research comes from corporations.DISCOVERY OF GRAPHENEGraphene existed in theory in 1962, when chemist Hanns-Peter Boehm described it in a paper published in the Journal of Inorganic and General Chemistry. But in 2003, Russian physicist Andre Geim, then studying at the University of Manchester, set about to produce it. He used scotch tape to pull up progressively thinner layers of graphite, and then dissolved the tape, which eventually left him with the first instances of Graphene. In 2004, Ge im and his research colleague Kostantin Novoselov, published an academic paper on the discovery, which has since become one of the most widely cited papers in the field of physics. For this work, he and Novoselov received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2010.Graphene 200 times stronger than steel PROPERTIES OF GRAPHENEGraphene is a hexagonal lattice of carbon atoms bonded tightly together. Its sp2 hybridisation â€" a double bond between the carbon atoms, coupled with its especially thin atomic thickness, fuel its special properties. Its ability to conduct electricity and heat so effectively are believed to be a function of the carbon bonds being very small and strong. Being composed of singular carbon atoms, Graphene is also so thin as to be effectively two-dimensional, in addition to being extremely light weight. © Flickr | CORE-MaterialsBENEFITS OF GRAPHENEGraphene’s benefits are closely tied to its properties, which make it tremendously attractive as a raw material for the production of a wide variety of commercial goods. In short, Graphene’s major benefits are that it is highly conductive 200 times more conductive than silicon, and conducts heat very efficiently as well; thin â€" enough to be considered a 2D material; transparent; strong â€" approximately 200 times stronger than steel; light-weight; and flexible, while maintaining its strength and conductivity. What is Graphene[slideshare id=13776961doc=graphene-120727094303-phpapp01w=640h=330]GRAPHENE PRODUCTIONAs of 2014, Graphene is still a fairly expensive material to produce, though innovations in the production process have already reduced its price per cm. There are two main methods for producing Graphene: exfoliation and epitaxy.ExfoliationThe academic and commercial use of exfoliation, known as mechanical exfoliation, to prod uce Graphene is a refinement of the process Geim and Novoselov used to first produce it. It produces flakes of varying sizes (in powder form), which are considered natural Graphene, in volume. These readily have applications in polymer, paint, and lubricant production. There is also liquid-phase exfoliation, in which graphite is suspended in liquid and then exposed to high frequencies of sound to produce Graphene flakes.EpitaxyProducing Graphene through epitaxy (also known as chemical vapor deposition or CVD) involves heat treating a susbstrate, such as silicon carbide, nickel, copper or iridium in a gaseous atmosphere that reduces the substrate into Graphene. It produces a film of Graphene (considered synthetic Graphene), that is free of the impurities in natural Graphene, and lends itself readily to use as various electronic applications, and potentially even clothing. It is also the more expensive of the two methods.COMMERCIAL USAGE OF GRAPHENEFirms using GrapheneWhile Graphene i s still a relatively new material, many firms are racing to adopt it. These include, but are not limited to big name electronics brands, such as Samsung, IBM, Nokia, Google, SanDisk and Apple, who are looking for ways to incorporate it in their products. In 2013, a UK intellectual patent report noted that Samsung led all firms in Graphene-related patents with 405 worldwide. Given the growing market for the material graphite company Graftech International; deposition technology company Aixatron; UK-based Applied Graphene Technologies and more, are rapidly scaling up their research and production of Graphene to meet demand.Challenges of using GrapheneThe biggest challenge to the commercial usage of Graphene is the production cost. As of 2013, some vendors were charging as much as $60 per square inch, according to a recent Forbes article. This makes the integration of the material into electronics cost prohibitive. The manufacturing processes themselves are nascent, and, while they can reliably produce Graphene, they are in need of further refinement to bring the price point down. Another significant challenge is the fact that Graphene is such a good conductor that it cannot be switched off. It lacks what is known as a band-gap, which means that it cannot be adopted into electrical systems; however, recent research has seen promising developments addressing that problem.Projected growth of the Graphene marketHowever, most experts agree that Graphene has enormous upside potential. Not only are firms and universities racing to procure patents, but Graphene’s wide-range of potential applications ensure that demand will continue to grow. Research and Markets’ October 2013 “Global Graphene Market report” forecasts that the compound annual growth rate for Graphene is 60.4% over the period 2012 to 2016. This is driven primarily by massive RD expenditures from major firms like Samsung and IBM, as well as Graphene’s own attributes. In 2013, the European Union an nounced its plans to fund Graphene research that drives innovation and job growth over the next decade to the tune of €1 billion.CURRENT POTENTIAL APPLICATIONS OF GRAPHENEThe enthusiasm of corporate and academic researchers is understandable. Graphenes current and potential applications are astounding and could revolutionize many products, markets and fields. These include:MedicineApplications include the development of bioelectric sensors and bio imaging devices, drug and gene delivery, more effective powerful disinfectants, and DNA sequencing â€" pending safety and clinic trials, of course. Artificial implants are also being explored, that would be connected directly to your neural system, harnessing Graphene’s conductive properties. Graphene could also be used to produce more effective spinal surgical equipment.ComputingGraphene can be used to radically improve the processing power of computer chips. In January of 2014, IBM announced that they had created a Graphene chip 10, 000 times faster than standard chips. This was an analog chip, not a digital one, due to Graphene’s band gap. But future RD will likely bring us computers with Graphene â€"based CPUs that are more powerful than our current devices by several orders of magnitude, and that consume less energy.Electronics Graphene enthusiasts have long been touting Graphene’s potential to replace silicon in common electric circuitry but the band gap remains the challenge. However, Graphene’s transparency and flexibility will undoubtedly eventually transform the field of electronics. Scientists have been experimenting with quick charging batteries, high-quality headphones, flexible electronics, more capable photo-sensors, and virtually unbreakable touch screens, among other applications. The integration of Graphene into the field of optical electronics could lead to the eventual development of updatable e-paper, among other exciting new breakthroughs.Water purificationGraphene filters water and practically nothing else, making it perhaps the most effective water filtration material available. Lockheed Martin has a Graphene water filter in development, which they claim will reduce the energy costs of desalination plants by 99% but it is not yet on the market. Graphene production remains a challenge, but Graphene oxide, which is easier to produce, has similar water-related properties and is much easier and cheaper to produce. This could not only play a significant role in increasing the amount of potable drinking water worldwide (especially in developing countries), but could also have a tremendous effect on alcohol distillation methods.Waterproofing materialsWhile Graphene is an extremely efficient water filter, researchers at Vanderbilt University have found ways to apply it to other materials in ways that cause those materials to become either superabsorbent or super repellent. This has tremendous commercial potential when you consider waterproof materials, electronics, and buildings. Nokia is already working on developing a waterproof smartphone.Energy storageGraphene’s ability to conduct heat and electricity extremely effectively lend it to the development of more rapidly-charging batteries. Prototype Graphene smartphone batteries in development at UCLA and elsewhere cha rge fully in mere seconds. Graphene-based super capacitors are being explored for eventual usage in cellphones and other portable devices.Another application is in the production of more proficient photovoltaic cells, which could be used in clothing, and is of particular interest to firms developing wearable tech, such as Wearable Solar. Even the U.S. military is looking into photovoltaics to power military equipment in the field. As Graphene research and development continues, it will doubtlessly be integrated into commercial and military photovoltaic production.Other applicationsGraphene’s incorporation into other materials, such as paint, plastic, and polymer production, is being explored. A Grapheneâ€"based paint, applied to a device or a house for example, could conceivably also store solar energy, powering the device or home.Graphene’s strength and light weight lend themselves to the production of goods and parts typically utilizing plastics and polymers, such as car and p lane parts. Composites of Graphene plus plastics or polymers could be industry standards for everything from bikes to wind turbines in a few short years.Graphene is also being studied as a potential material for 3D printing. 3D printing is a type of additive manufacturing process in which printers can rapidly produce three dimensional objects from a digital file. This process has been used to print objects as simple as lampshades and as complex as one-story house. Image credits: Flickr | CORE-Materials under Attribution-ShareAlike 2.0 Generic.

Technology as an Effective Teaching Tool Research Paper - 1650 Words

Technology as an Effective Teaching Tool Research Paper (Essay Sample) Content: Is technology an effective teaching tool?Name:Professor:Institution:Course:Date:IntroductionThe world has been fully impacted by technology where all sectors in the world have been impact in one way or another. One of the key sectors that have been massively been influenced by technology is education sector. Old teaching practices have not been replaced by new technological ways of teaching. However, a big question remains on whether technology has impacted education sector positively based on technology has as a teaching tool. There have been mixed reactions from different stakeholders in education sector while one group argues that technology is an effective teaching tool based on its impact in general studentsà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ performance (Ertmer, pg.60). On the other hand, the second group argues that technology is not an effective teaching. It is very hard to take a position on this argument but after critical analysis of the concept of technology as a teaching tool, i t is evident that technology is an effective teaching tool. The objective of this essay is to support that technology is an effective teaching tool.To start with, technology as a teaching tool acts as supplements other teaching tools. For many years, teachers have been using hardcopy tools such as books, blackboards and other teaching materials (Ertmer, pg. 56). However, technology has come up with many teachings tool which have made teaching easy and effective. Teaching using the same tools for many years brings monotony among students and also teachers thus making education boring and ineffective. Technology has brought new tools which are interesting and convenient. For instance, teaching has been supplemented with graphics, video clips, software among other teachings tools. This has made teaching and as the same time learning interesting and easy. This is the main reason why technology is an effective teaching tool.Technology as a teaching tool has also facilitated online teachi ng thus breaking geographical barrier in education sector. The use of technology in schools and other learning institution has greatly led to the easy transfer of knowledge and information across the students and teachers (Bauer, pg. 519). With the new technological advancements, students can learn away from school, tackle their assignments and even take their evaluation tests online and submit them the same way. Various learning institutions now offer online learning or better known as e-learning or distant for those students who wish to study in their institutions but the challenge of geographical barrier exists. The institutions ensure that the online students receive the necessary materials for their studies and provide the dates for various activities and programs in the school. With effective teaching integration and student cooperation, the online learning strategies have proved to be advantageous to both the learners and the teachers as it has eased the education process the reby saving time and resources at the same time. The students studying from home get to save their travelling costs and the time that they would take to travel to and from school. The distance learning also enables the teachers to spread a wide variety of knowledge to different students in different geographical areas simultaneously. The use of technology in education also motivates students. A study by (Cradler, pg. 22), showed that teachers reported increased motivation in the students when electronic learning was introduced in their schools. This was due to their willingness to work with technology and sideline the usual classroom setting that includes boring lectures. The new technology motivated the students to learn more using the technological platform. The study (Cradler, pg. 22), also states that students were motivated by the technology due to the urge of mastering the use of technology and incorporating it in to their lives. The use of technology increases the self-esteem o f the learner and makes them excited about going to school.Technology has also given an opportunity for the students and teachers to learn from a very broad perspective of the alternative learning skills. Instead of having the usual lecture notes and boring classes, the student gets to be active in learning in the broad area of study. A study by (Lawless, pg. 579) showed that students were able to handle more complex assignments and tests after the introduction of electronic learning. This proved that students could achieve more with the capabilities brought about by technology. Since the students are motivated to learn and gain more knowledge, they would easily transfer the knowledge from one student to another and take pride in the sharing of useful information.
